Bill McGookin, Accredited Family Law Specialist

Bill McGookin is partner in charge of Family Law and Litigation at Caldwell Martin Cox. He joined the firm in 1991 becoming a partner in 1995. He has practised in the area of Family Law since 1991 and has been accredited by the Law Society of New South Wales as a Specialist in Family Law since 1997. Much of his work comes from past client referrals. He even has work referred to him by other solicitors from both within and outside the Macarthur and Wollondilly regions.

Bill has a philosophy which is focused on helping his clients to manage the difficulties of relationship breakdown in a considerate and compassionate manner. He strives to provide them with the information, knowledge and strength to make informed decisions.

Bill also has many years experience in all aspects of general Litigation, Court matters, Wills and Powers of Attorney and Property transactions.

Vicki Andrews, Senior Associate Solicitor

Vicki Andrews (B.Ec LLB) has been practising Law in full-time employment since graduating from Sydney University in 1985. Working mostly in Family Law, Commercial Law and Conveyancing Vicki has spent 17 of her working years in the local Macarthur area.

Family Law is Vicki’s passion and her reputation for skill, hard work and good outcomes has attracted clients from all over the area. Vicki is able to assist clients in all aspects of Family Law negotiations and litigation. Her advice is always clear, practical and easy to understand.

Jillaine Duve, Senior Associate Solicitor

Jillaine Duve has been a lawyer since 1998 and brings to the firm a wide range of Litigation experience, having spent the first three years of her career as a Crown Prosecutor in North Queensland specialising in Criminal Law. She then spent three years living in London and worked at Clifford Chance, the world’s largest law firm.

Jillaine joined Caldwell Martin Cox as an Associate Solicitor in June 2006 and was promoted to Senior Associate in 2008. Jillaine specialises in the areas of Family Law and Criminal/Traffic Litigation.

She is deeply committed to the principles of alternative dispute resolution and works hard to obtain the best possible result for her clients via amicable resolution of their legal matter. If negotiation is not successful, Jillaine is not afraid of using her litigation experience to steer clients through the Court system and to assist them in achieving their goals.

Laura offers a wide range of skills and experience as well as a refreshing attitude to ensure the interests of all of her clients are protected. She practices primarily in the area of Family Law with expertise in parenting disputes, family dispute resolutions, property matters, financial agreements and all areas of Family Law litigation. Laura also practises in the areas of Criminal Law, Wills, Estate and General Litigation.

Laura has completed a Bachelor of Social Science (Majoring in Criminology), Bachelor of Laws and also holds a Masters in Applied Family Law.

Laura is the President of the Macarthur Law Society and has a keen sense of community. She has volunteered at both the Macarthur Legal Centre and the Benevolent Society and continues to look for opportunities to assist the community. She aims to increase legal awareness within the community and often presents at community functions or information days.

Marlane is the most experienced member of our Family Law support team. In February she will celebrate being part of Caldwell Martin Cox for 40 years. Marlane has helped many anxious and emotional clients to navigate their Family Law matters throughout her time at Caldwell Martin Cox and she is often the first point of contact with our firm. There are not many questions Marlane cannot assist in answering.

Anne Hawkins

Anne has been part of Caldwell Martin Cox for over 13 years and is a senior member of our Family Law support team, assisting Laura at the Picton office. Anne’s practical knowledge about the issues Family Law clients face as well as her patient and caring phone manner has received positive comment from many clients over the years.

Kathryn Small

Kathryn is a senior member of our Family Law support team assisting Vicki in client matters at the Camden office. Kathryn has been with Caldwell Martin Cox for over 9 years; her strength lies in her warmth and compassion for clients. Kathryn is known to go the extra mile in order to treat clients with respect and courtesy.

Teneile Weatherburn

Teneile has been with Caldwell Martin Cox for nearly 5 years and is the junior member of the Family Law support team. Teneile has strong knowledge of the important issues for Family Law clients and works alongside Marlane. Together they support Bill, looking after clients’ needs with care and expertise.
